Meet Allen, Ashley, and Kyle!
Meet the hosts:
Allen is the is the layman of the Min/Max podcast. He works professionally as a commercial photographer & digital retoucher. As a life long camera junkie, he channels his creative and technical energy into the craft of photography, both in digital and analog processes.
He loves playing games of all sorts, shapes, and play styles. Most days when he's not doing photo related things he can be found playing D&D, Diablo III, Battlefield One, or something retro.
Allen currently attends St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with Ashley where they serve in various capacities.
Ashley is the professor of the group. She teaches for the Department of Speech Communication & Performing Arts at Judson University. She has a desire to help others communicate the ideas most important to them, and deeply loves how storytelling in all forms can bridge gaps between communities. Soon she and Allen will be moving to Scotland to earn her PhD of Divinity at the University of St. Andrews, where she will research the intersection of theatre and theology.
She has been a life-long gamer, starting on a Sega Genesis, and branching out to tabletop and MMORPGs. She adores comic books and eagerly awaits the Captain Marvel movie. Her current obsessions are Destiny and the Saga comic book series. One day she hopes to host the first DeConnick Con.
Kyle is one of two “seminarians," currently working to complete his final year of work on an M.A. in Christian Ministry. Professionally, his roles have included youth ministry, tech and production, facilities work, and some limited pastoral ministry.
As a gamer, he has been playing for most of his life and enjoys both video and table top games. Some of his favorite games include Skyrim, Dungeons and Dragons 5th Ed., Pathfinder, Magic The Gathering, and Lord of the Rings the Living Card Game.
Additionally, Kyle aspires to be an author and has a passion for using narrative to convey both real, practical, truths and deep fundamental principles of Christian theology. He hopes to write fictional works for both children and adults which will serve to both entertain and encourage dialogue about life and faith.
